mile warmup @ 9:00, 4 x 800 @ 3:55, 400 cooldowns, 1/2 mile final cool down

wednesday 6 miles ~ bayshore with buns
average 9:15

thursday 4 miles ~ st. charles loop
average 9:35

friday off

saturday off

can we say fail? what a bust of a week. i started out well. even made sure to run intervals which i haven’t done in ages. but come the weekend i lost all steam and gave into the temptation of sleep, food and wine. in my defense it was easter weekend so i can argue that i was justified in some but in all honestly i simply just didn’t feel like running, or eating well, or getting out of bed, or much of anything really. sab and i did go to a big easter party saturday and to my sister’s at the beach on sunday but i had to be coerced into both. i’m actually a bit concerned about myself. the lethargy and apathetic approach to my days are unlike me and resonant of depression ~ something i have never given into. whatever it is i need to pull my head out of my ass and take back control. i have this upcoming week planned out in terms of mileage and more, and this weekend we leave for NC which will hopefully help break me of life’s rut and routine.

    i think you had a great week of workouts! just because you lost a bit of steam does not mean anything. you are doing great and it is ok to feel blah every so ofter 🙂

    thanks! i get frustrated when i have a plan and then don’t follow through on it. i’m my own worst enemy when it comes to self-expectations. gotta’ learn how to give myself a break sometimes.

    Well of course you deserve a lazy week, though truly your mileage doesn’t constitute a “lazy” week.

    You’ll be back at ’em because as you said a few posts ago, the bitch is back!
