this was pretty much an ideal week. at least for the time being while i’m still trying to beat the pain. four run days. 25 miles. a long run of 14 and a short, fast run ~ in the rain nonetheless ~ to cleanse the soul. bumping up the long run mileage to 14 felt surprisingly good. i hate to even say this because i don’t want to jinx things, but this was the first long run i’ve had in eight months where sitting in my car after the run didn’t bring intense hip/SI discomfort. i’m feeling a little off today, but little by little i feel we are making baby steps to figure everything out. the only problem is that yesterday my ankle bothered me. same place, same tendon, that caused me grief while training for MCM. i think i have a little understanding as to why and i’ve got a couple things to take care of this week that i’m hoping make a long term difference. i really hope so because apparently the thought of any potential downtime has become a fleeting one.

upcoming races/events (all registered for and committed to)
feb 12 ~ dances with dirt 50-mile relay
feb 27 ~ gasparilla half marathon
march 26 ~ fight for air stair climb (42-flights of stairs)
april 9 ~ croom’s fool run ~ 16 mile trail race

HI there! How is your training going? Looks pretty good!
Maybe you can help me with this: I just had The weirdest running experience ever (http://wp.me/pXsUB-FH) Does it ever happen to you?
    Thank you so much!
