i almost forgot to post last weeks totals. though the week started out pretty bad i managed to salvage it. maybe not the best thing for the body. i’ve definitely felt out of whack again. per the new chiro’s request as of this week i am now in a neutral shoe with a posture control insert. we’ll see if i get any relief from this change but i’m hitting the point of frustration and negativity again. i know i need to focus on the fact that i am running but i’m just so tired of pain. if this goes on much longer i am going to take the step of trying injections.

anyway, i don’t want to focus on that. i need to stay positive and focus on the half i’m running in four days. still no plan to attempt a PR. i can’t deny that i would really like to go sub-2 but even that seems far reaching. so i’m going to try and just have fun and run the best race i can.

I can’t even imagine how frustrating the pain is. Hopefully running the half this weekend will help to focus again on the positive. Would injections be something you’d have to continuously do in order to keep the pain away?

more times than not injections do tend to just mask the actual problem so yes, the pain is likely to come back until you figure out the underlying cause. but sometimes they allow the inflammation to subside enough to help things get back to where they should be. i would only do one or two at most just to see if i could be the exception and not the norm. at this point, it’s about worth a try.
