saturday 7 mile run  ~ tc trails with the thinker and a new guy
sunday off

ten miles and two weight sessions. far better than last week. far worse than i need. but i’ll take the baby steps back to where i want to be. the calf is feeling ok. it cramped around mile six of the “long” run but i’m ok if we can comfortably get there again. the knee still has a twinge that concerns me but with no acute injury i can only assume it’s simply compensation for the calf and the hip. both asking a little more of every muscle in between.

saturday after the run a woman from my group approached me about what my injuries and issues are. i don’t know her well. we run different paces and often different places but we’ve crossed paths here and there. apparently she’s formerly licensed in thai massage and wants to see if she can help. i have no idea what makes massage thai versus any other variation but i’m all for any and everything that might make my body love me again so i’m letting her torture work on me this wednesday.

hopefully i’m on the right path this time. somehow over the last few days i’ve felt a strength i haven’t felt in quite some time.
