that space

there’s a world of words that exist before here. months. years. the blog on that space. my space. i went there tonight. read and reread some of who i am was. a first 5k ~ oct 7, 2006. the anniversary of losing boston. birthdays 35. 36. dreams and hopes. some realized others still harbored. i fear losing them. those words i need to find a way to salvage. they give me insight to me. reminders of how far i’ve come and of the shadows that still remain. it’s as easy as cut, paste, copy. yet i hesitate. maybe a part of me hopes they disappear. that they take with them the girl i was back when. but how do i leave behind the story of now and then. there to here. no one else may ever read or ever care. but they were … they are … my words. my space. my life.

This is – quite honestly – probably one of my favorite posts I’ve read on any blog in ages. I so get what you’re saying that I had to stop myself from reading it for a FOURTH time in order to stop the tears. This post is all truth.
