let-s-talk

yesterday i watched with wonder as someone read my blog. and when i say “read my blog” i mean pretty much read the whole thing. well maybe half of the 329 posts i’ve written since november of 2007. prior to yesterday my highest site view day was somewhere in the 80s and i know exactly who and why i was being stalked read that day. but yesterday i noticed a slightly higher stat and a little later even higher. and then i became obsessed. refresh 100. refresh 137. refresh 209. the number kept growing until day’s end brought 295 site views. i really don’t think i’m that interesting but apparently someone did and i’m not sure whether i should feel freaked or flattered.

i obviously don’t mind if someone reads what i share. yes, i have the random password protected post but most are here for the world to see even if some are a little personal. i also obviously don’t write with clear cut identity. sure, places and faces of the stories i tell keep me from being just another anonymous author, but i don’t broadcast who i am and that i write. most who visit stumbled here and know little more of who i am other than what my words tell.

so i only ask one thing of you who filled your yesterday with my tales of love and running; read. enjoy. delve deeper into who i am than you may ever see. but if i know you. actually know you. respect my semi-secret world and the words i share with few but all.

and if you want to own up the fact that you stalk, let’s talk. 😉

I did that once, not your blog. I was bored so started looking at the few blogs that I like”s blog rolls to find a new blog to read. I stumbled upon such an interesting one that I read every bit of it. When my sister happened to phone me to see what I was up to I felt very guilty saying I just spent two hours reading a blog! I hope the person didn’t think I was a stalker…Some people are great writers and have very interesting stories to tell. I hope that was it. Maybe you are just very interesting!

I remember when that happened to me (before I locked the blog down) and I was freaking out. I was sure someone I didn’t want to read was reading and knew all of my life story. I never did find out if it was random or someone who knows me. It’s the risk we take
