100 miles to nowhere

100 training starts today. granted mondays are a down day so technically i’ll start tomorrow but according to my calendar i’m now officially in training. 24 weeks. i’m using a slight variation of the 50 mile week plan from relentless forward progress. it starts off light in some ways but my weekday runs are going to have to get a little longer which means the now 5:15 a.m. start time is going to change to 4:45 a.m. and weekends … with a build up of long back-to-backs i might as well kiss all semblance of a social life goodbye which might be a tad bit of a problem given my social life has changed slightly over the last couple of weeks. but this is it. the beginning. of a very long journey to nowhere.

    I am in the midst of reading Relentless Forward Progress. I hope to run ultras in the future. Good luck with your training. You are an inspiring long distance runner and I don’t doubt you will do this!
